PDA

It stands for personal digital assistant and, is a hand held device that manages your personal data. I is also called palmtop computer. it have electronic visual display with touch screen technology.  It s WiFi with inbuilt browser will help to surf on the internet. In 1984 the first PDA was released. Its feature is just like your computer setup whether its internet surfing or its WiFi connectivity. Some of the main features of PDA are-
  • Most of the PDA comes with a touch screen feature. It have a virtual key board by the help of which you can give input.
  • It consist of memory card that is used to store your data. The two main memory cards that are coming in the market are SD(secure digital) and Compact Flash.
  • It have a feature of wired connectivity. They are connected with your computer with a wire named as USB.
  • It also have wireless connectivity feature. You can connect it with your computer with the help of Bluetooth device.
  • User can synchronize their PDA with their computers. They can update, transfer and modify the data.

What is computer processor?

A processor is the one who process something. If we talk about in the terms of computer then a processor is the hardware that takes instruction and execute it. It is known as the brain of the computer. It takes instruction from user by the help of peripharal devices like keyboard,  mouse and gives result to user.

Now a days so many kinds of proessor with varying speed are coming in the market. The speed of the processor can be measured in Hertz. Computer processors have normally one to two GHz speed. Processor for hanset devices are generally coming into the MHz. One MHz processor can execute one million instruction in a second. Computer processor is the most important part of the computer setup. The famous processor in the market are Dual core, core2duo, i3, i5, i7 and may others.

What is Turbo Boost?

Before some years intel and amd was the two major players in the maket for processor manufacturing. Every processors have cores to execute the tasks. A single core generates a lot of heat so we have to invest a lot incase to provide cooling system for all the cores else we have to make a tradeoff between speed and CPU life. The other obstacle to the success of multicore processor is memory management system. As a single memory controller cater the needs of cores by using the same data bus for data transmission so there always exist a state of congestion while executing a heavy task like using a 3D application, floating point calculation, any watching HD multimedia. This would confine the performance to the certain limit and also you have to curb your desires. So for eliminating these problems Intel has launched processor with new feature” Turbo Boost”. This feature is introduced in the Turbo Boost provides is a feature which you dynamic capability can scale up the clock speed depending within the TDP.  With this feature now we have a new generation processor which is flexible enough to provide CPU performance according to the task. We have the Core i5 750 processor which has a base clock speed of 2.66GHz but can scale up to 3.2 GHz, thus provide optimal performance. In the past Intel has provided a feature Dual dynamic acceleration holds the capability to enhance the clock frequency of two cores but Turbo Boost can increase frequency of all cores. The maximum frequency of clock achieved through using Intel Turbo Boost Technology depends on the number of factors.

Hard Token

It is an authentication token that is used to authenticate the user in a secure system. Hardware security device uses the hard token like security card to authenticate the user. Other examples of hard tokens are finger prints or username and password. The hard tags are also used to detect theft in the retail stores and in the organization for the authentication process.

The main problem with the hard token is that you have to carry it but the people generally don’t like to carry any thing. They want every thing remotely like banking. The organization or store where the hardware security is implemented they have an extra overhead to maintain it. It is very costly to implement the hardware security. There in also one more disadvantage of the hard token is that someone can misuse it.

Expansion card

The expansion card is external card that is used to add some functionality to a computer via expansion bus. One end of the expansion card holds the connection of new device and other is connected with motherboard. So it provides the electrical connectivity between device and mother board.

For example you can add graphics card to give your computer 3D graphics power. You can also add other card as well like sound card, firewire or USB ports and other expansion cards. T use traditional card because of the size factor.

Blue-ray disk

It is an optical storage medium designed to store large amount of data as compare to DVD. It uses the blue laser that allows information to be stored at a greater density as compare to red laser used in DVD. It is because the red laser has a longer wavelength. It is associated with a multimedia forest that allows the data to be stored with a greater definition than on DVD.

The first blue-ray disk was released on June 20, 2006. Blue ray laser uses a 405 NM blue laser diode while a DVD uses 650 NM red lasers. The smaller beam focuses more precisely that’s why blue ray disk stores more data than the DVD. The conventional blue ray disk contain 25 GB data with one layer after that blue ray disk comes with double layer that contains 50 GB, then 100 GB with triple layer and 128 GB with quadruple layers. Now a days leading manufacturers of blue ray disk are Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TDK and Thomson.
