This communication technology uses copper telephone lines for the faster transmission of the data. It utilizes the frequency that is not uses by voice calls. But it can be distributed in the restricted area (about 4 km from the telephone exchange). In ADSL the downloading speed is more than the uploading speed that’s why it is called asymmetric.
Current ADSL are using the full duplex mode for transferring the data. ADSL have a high SNR ratio. A high SNR margin will mean a reduced maximum speeds, but greater reliability and stability of the connection. A low SNR margin will mean high throughput, with the noise.
